Tango was titled at two years of age and gained his Grand Championship at just five years of age.  Now aged seven he is at his ‘Best’!

Tango has been awarded two Best In Specialty Show wins, two Runner Up In Show at All Breeds, one Semi Specialty Runner Up In Show, and he is a Multi Best in Group and In Show winner.  Tango was Best of Breed Winner and a finalist at the Royal Melbourne Show in September 2008.

He is consistently producing specialty winners and so far has produced 20 Champions and more recently his first Grand Champion, and many progeny with obedience awards...always passing on his endearing temperament and wonderful movement.

Some of his other achievements include;  Top Dog of the Year awarded by The Golden Retriever Club Of Victoria in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007and 2008.  He also won the Golden Retriever Club of Victoria’s Challenge Winners Award for 2006 and 2007.  He has been at least BOB under almost all Australian Golden Retriever Breed Specialists.

The critique from Tango’s most recent specialty win under Mrs Beryl Higgins (UK) Nunsbrook Goldens in Oct 2008 reads:

“My ‘star of the day’ this quality boy took my eye on entering the ring and did not disappoint on examination, most lovely type with gorgeous head and expression.  Excels in neck and shoulders with straight front, strong bone and good feet.  Deep well ribbed body with level topline.  Strong well developed quarters with well let down hocks  Very sound and stylish on the move with so much ring presence he cannot be ignored.  So very well balanced from all angles.  Shown in lovely coat and hard condition.  Wish he was mine.”

I could not ask for anything more from him as he has given me so much joy. Tango is a lovely dog to live with...he has worked behind the camera on commercials and worked in schools with children with the Responsible Pet Program.  He is a wonderful minder of puppies and so tolerant.  He sleeps on his back with legs in the air!

He loves to collect toys and his favourite position in the back yard is just behind the neighbours’ tennis court waiting for balls to come his way...he has quite a collection as most of the time the neighbours don’t want me to return them!
